Not a prodigy, just like ducks to water

Inspired by the introduction of  Tapscott's growing up and grown up digital i wrote the title of this entry, i expirienced myself the maze of looking my 5 years old baby boy use PC easily with out any thorough introduction. I just showed him one or two clicks...vallaa then he swim in the net like a pro.

I remember long time a go being introduced with mosaic and telnet stuff, the complexity made me abandoned internet for a while, but now the firefox foxy interface....and cool youtube browse ability made humam spent hours in front of our always on internet station. BTW i placed the workstation in his room just besides his book collection near his lego bucket.

In the book my boy belongs to later generation who bathed in bits, and i hate to admit that even i try to avoid gaming usage but tapscott believe that such kids who get used to play game...the game can make them notice more in their field of vision, and even speed up their visual information processing capabilities. or in the simple words Their brain is changing (advancing ?).

Yes there is much controversy, digital immersion have positive impact not only do video gamers notice more but even 5 years old humam develop more spatials skills that are important for engineers, architect, chip designers and surgeons. The Net Generation mind is also incredibly flexible, adaptable, and multimedia savvy.

Last year i write a genealogical presentation for one of my boss, its all about how our prepaid brand gain the market dominance in teen segment, i put the internet as the final momentum of our ultimate positioning preposition towards the net generation, through the idea of growing up digital  i believe that the journey is not yet over.

Humam's generation will be better than mine, and so i continue add his lego, books, kumon, playing ball, our sofa wrestling together, pray together (promise to do it again tonite;) and many stimulation needed to enrich his journey through out his net childhood world.
